i. No spamming. ii. No excessive cursing. iii. No harassment. iv. No bullying. v. Don't bother staff. vi. No mini-modding. vii. No advertising. viii. Don't speak of politics, religion, etc. While it is a big part of the roleplay, the chatbox isn't a place to discuss them.
"Of course they just want money," she snapped. Startled at how harsh her voice came out, she looked away, and continued in a gentler tone. "Look, I can take care of it. Just go and..." ...They wouldn't really try something like that, would they? No one would be that stupid after catching a glimpse of her powers. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind, where it lingered, a nagging worry.
"Do you have any idea who you're messing with?" Remi started at the new voice, so shaken that the daggers orbiting her wrists dissolved. Where was that coming from? Her confused gaze landed on Anders, and froze at the look in his eyes, which were glowing. What was he doing? "I told you to lea-!" Her angry, desperate cry was interrupted by that same voice, coming from his mouth, ordering her to look away. The angel parted her lips, ready to argue, but something made her fall silent. A chill ran down her back, the cold air tinged with a menacing aura. Whatever it was, it was clearly different from her power- different from anything she had experienced. Never before had she felt magic this... cold.
She really wasn't sure why, but her gaze fell to her boots and she squeezed her eyes shut. There was no stopping whatever was going to happen next. However, curiosity won her over, and she opened one eye a crack to watch as soon as she was sure he wasn't looking...

Anders turned back to the men as he saw her look down.[break][break]
The transformation was quick, as it always had been. His violet horns grew, violet markings appearing all over his body. His eyes now glowed even more than normal. He stared at the ground. His thoughts weren't steady and calm as normal; they raced with anger. His breathing picked up slightly, and he lifted his head to glare at the men. Had he been his calm self, he would have talked himself out of what he did next.[break][break]
The men smartly stumbled backward. However, it wasn't quick enough. The demon raced forward, holding one of them up against a wall by their neck. The other two attempted to free their friend. Anders threw the one in his grip down, turning to grab the other two. Multiple punches were aimed at their chests. In human form, this would hurt -- however, in demon form, Anders' strength was maximized. He repeatedly beat into them until his fists were bloody. Turning, he noticed the third was gone.[break][break]
His heart slowed, calming. His breathing steadied, and he looked down at his hands. His eyes widened, and his horns slowly faded away, the markings soon following suit. He stumbled backward, and looked up to where Remi's gaze was on him. He shook his head, gulping.[break][break]
No... Not again... I didn't... His thoughts raced -- however this time, instead of anger, it was fear. He shook his head again. "I-I'm sorry... I need to leave... I..."
A small girl stood watching this man lose himself. His peculiar merit receded, reformed, and reassumed into a twisted beauty. What stood before her was not someone she knew... yet, they were so familiar to her. It was him, but not himself. The marks, the eyes, the horns; if auras had sound, she would be listening to a sonata of chaos, sure at first, confident but quiet... now broken, loud, and livid.
You did this.
The ringing in her ears reached a crescendo. Oh, what a horrible, vicious symphony! The notes blended together in shades of red and violet. The vocals became agonized cries; desperate, hollow eyes found hers, pleading and terrified. Slowly, they lost their light. The creature had smothered their spark, and she felt sick and oh godwhat had she done.
[smear:ff4700]You did this.[/smear:a00202]
As quickly as it had arrived, the creature was gone. In its place stood a man who looked at her with fragile, sorrowful eyes. His mouth moved, but the words were lost to the ringing of her ears, which was now white noise to block out her thoughts. She was vaguely aware of her feet moving, carrying her slowly forward. Her gaze was barely focused, but as she neared him, her steps wavered, and the overwhelming scent of blood made her breath hitch. What was this feeling? Anger? Grief? Regret?
Fear?
Her pounding heart made her hands shake as she crouched before one of the bloody men. He was unconscious, but when she pressed her index finger to his wrist, there was a faint thrum. The ringing ceased all too suddenly, and her legs wanted to collapse from under her as she closed her eyes and took a deep, quivering breath. She stood, albeit shakily, and took another step towards Anders, who looked like a frightened animal.
"Anders." His name was familiar on her tongue, and she licked her lips hesitantly. "I-It's okay. You're o-okay. W-We're..." Were they really? Were they really okay? "They're alive. W-We can... hospital..." Her voice died as a figure rose behind the incubus, wielding a knife.
"B-Behind you!" she cried, trying to get a grip on her magic. The knife came down just as she raised her hand and sent a channeled wave of force towards the figure to push him away. Anders' attacker lurched backwards, but was it too late?

i was an animal. a creature of the night. she took me in, but i could sense her fright.
[attr="class","lucky3"]
[attr="class","peach"] Seeing her step forward, he stepped backward. "N-no... Not... okay..." He stuttered. What have I done? Hearing her say they were alive made his heart, or what was left of it, drop even more. It would be harder to cover up. [break][break]
Why am I wanting to cover up such a horrid act? I should leave, I should... I'll only hurt people... And I don't want to hurt her. I've got to leave... Hearing her shout something, he was broken out of his trance. The pain was nonexistent. He opened his eye, feeling himself sit up from the ground. He saw Remi to the side, and then a figure being forced back.[break][break]
And there was the pain. It started as a sting, but then rushed in. Half of his vision was a blueish purple. He blinked hard, only making the pain worse. There was a sound, much like a yell -- he realized it was coming from his own mouth, and bit his cheek to quiet himself. He wasn't quite sure what was happening, but he did know one thing: She tried to save a monster. The fact that she had used her powers, most likely making her weaker, on a monster, an animal, gave him enough strength to stand, walk over to her, and wrap his arms around the small girl. And that's when he lost consciousness.
