Remi Cachet Fluer

Remi is vertically challenged for her age, a trait that she is not proud of. She wields extremely powerful magic, but because she is so small and fragile, her body cannot maintain high-level spells for very long at all. Her hair is usually gathered into soft white braids, and her slightly pale complexion accents dark red eyes. She likes to wear red or black, and sometimes a combination of both.

Remi takes no shit. Her prideful temper paired with her darling looks form an unusual combination. She has a very caring nature that she tries to ignore; to conceal her insecurities, she brags loudly about every possible little thing about herself, and the best way to get to her is to challenge or insult her. She pretends to brush off abuse, but it affects her in a way deeper than most people, in which she will begin to question her every action, and overthink practically every waking moment. Despite being so insightful, she tends to blurt out the first thing that comes to her mind, often damaging relationships in the process. Largely due to this, her determination and outward optimism are used to hide a deep and harmful self-loathing.

Born to two closet angels in Toulouse, France, Remi was a frightfully small child. This was probably because of the immense energy that her natural magic drew from her, which left very little to expend on growth. Nevertheless, she was bullied for her size from an early age, causing her to become withdrawn and shy. Her frustration finally overflowed in her third year of middle school, when she socked a boy in the nose for mocking her lower-class family. She seemed to take a liking to this technique when the bullies avoided her the next day. So, in order to "protect" herself, she fought to become a more headstrong person. "Side effects" rushed in to replace more reserved aspects of her personality: she became proud, blunt, and impulsive.

A year after she finished school, Remi left France for America looking for a fresh start. When she left the airport, however, she was (of course) too proud to ask for directions, and became lost. She weaved through the countryside in her rental car, rejecting every opportunity to ask for help, insisting she could find her own way to civilization.

The first city she stumbled upon was not what she had been expecting...
